Walk on Selvik 1

I went to Selvik, specifically to photograph the two abandoned old farm built from stone. Focus on the details. Appreciate the artistry and the people who catered stone to stone. Today, the first, more ruined farm.

  1. The blog is not only for those who live in Bergen, but also for those who know Bergen "just" from photos taken by tourists, millions of the same photos, all so beautiful however, every time again. But what I see on this website is something really amazing. An eye-opener for all people. Wonderful! Thank you for presenting this.

  2. The old stonework is so beautiful. One has to appreciate the people who built in this way.
The interior views are especially gripping and moving. Real people lived there and not that long ago.

  3. What lovely photographs you have shared with us. I especially like the first one with the gnarled tree in the foreground.

  6. You’ve made a great Theme Day post. I'm glad you picked these for today. I am amazed just thinking about the effort it took to find all these stones and assemble them. If you’d like to see my Theme Day post, it’s up at Portland Oregon Daily Photo on Saturday, June 1. Thanks!
