All of You, my blog watchers, know like looks Bergen now. It is a beautifull city. Here is three rephotos how it looked after the war. This is Bergenhus area, Rosenkrantz Tower and Hakonshallen.
After I follow certain bloggers for years and get to know their nice cities, it always comes as a shock to suddenly see what the war did in those places. So sad to see the destruction of beautiful buildings. May you never know war again.
Saw your comment on the Ottawa blog. Those are sad pictures. Some years ago we toured Berlin and saw the ruins of an old church which they preserved in it's bombed-out condition as a memorial. It was moving and an important lesson.

The city has done well to rebuild itself from tragedy.
